The Gwyn Morgan and Patricia Trottier Foundation, as an initiative of Youth Can Innovate, supports the Team Canada program, which gives the country’s top young scientists and engineers the opportunity to benchmark their work against the best in the world. Specifically, the sponsorship provides support for Canada’s participation in the annual Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) and European Union Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS).
This sponsorship provides added value to the Canada-Wide Science Fair Grand Awards (Best Junior, Best Intermediate and Best Senior – one of which is also named Best Project). Each CWSF Grand Award winner will be announced as a member of Team Canada-EUCYS to represent the country at EUCYS the following September, subject to EUCYS eligibility rules (including being 14 years of age as of September 1).
A maximum of eight (8) outstanding STEM projects chosen through a dedicated national selection process (independent of the Canada-Wide Science Fair) for their ingenuity, originality, development and potential social and economic benefits – and their ability to successfully represent Canada at the highest level of international competition.
