Bruce’s project is the first microplastic study in Yukon. He was interested in investigating the the health of Yukon, an environmentally fragile territory as it is vital not only for humans, but for wildlife as well. Microplastics under 5mm were found in all locations sampled. This includes the Yukon River, snow, air, and tap water, sampled in and around Whitehorse. Bruce also began growing awareness about microplastic pollution in Yukon.
